Residents can now apply for Residential Parking Permits!

The Town of Drumheller will be launching a trial period for a paid parking program throughout designated parking areas in the Drumheller Valley. This trial period will begin October 2, 2023, and will operate until October 31, 2023. Residents can apply for a Residential Parking Permit, which will allow residents to park in lots and areas designated for paid parking.

Throughout the year, the Town of Drumheller runs small events called Activities. Often, Activities are put on as a partnership with other organizations throughout the community as a means of drawing locals and visitors to the explore, to assist in the creation of economic activity and to improve a sense of community.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans - March 18

Do you have the luck of the Irish?  

We invite you to the Plaza on March 18 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with us with some minute to win it games and music!  

Pick up your event passport and complete the first challenge at the Plaza before continuing around the Downtown core.  

Please remember to come dressed for the weather as most of the activity will take place outside! 

Findosaurous - April 12

We need your help!
Join us downtown at the Downtown Plaza on April 12 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm to take part in the Findosaurous event.
12 dinosaurs have escaped from the Museum and must be found throughout the Downtown core. Help us find them so we can safely return them home to their families!
This is a community-wide event, and everyone is invited to join and take part.
Be sure to dress for the weather, as the activity will take place outdoors! The checklist will be available for pickup at the Downtown Plaza on the day of the event.

Gateway to Summer - April 22

Join Travel Drumheller and the Town of Drumheller for the first-ever Gateway to Summer!
We are getting together to show you all that is happening in the Drumheller Valley this summer!

We will have:

  • Event Organizers!
  • Food Vendors!
  • Local Attractions!
  • AND The guys from Murky Waters coming out to play the first show at the New Plaza.
Come out and enjoy the music, food, and community. Summer 2023 is going to be full of fun!

Celebrate with the Titans - June 2 - CANCELLED

Did you know that the Titans won provincials last year?  

We want to celebrate, and to do so, we are inviting the community down to the Downtown Plaza on June 2, 2023 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm! 

There will be football-styled games, a BBQ fundraiser, Titans apparel, photos with past, present and future Titans, and much more!  

Teddy Bear Picnic - July 10

Join us at the plaza for a Teddy Bear Picnic!

Ducky Dash - August 15

We hope you’re in the mood for a scavenger hunt!
Our family-friendly event, sponsored by the Sunny Spot, the Ducky Dash will be held on August 15 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm! Join us on a hunt through the Downtown core to find a number of ducks, all with letters on the bottom. After finding them all, you will be able to unscramble the letters to discover the phrase!
Reminder: This event will be held outside, so please dress for the weather and bring snacks and drinks to stay hydrated!

Drumheller RC Madness - August 26

The Town of Drumheller and RC Playground invite all RC car enthusiasts to take part in the RC Madness activity! 

On August 26, the Drumheller RC Playground will be hosting an open house all day! This will be accompanied by events, including a Crawler event at Midland Park at 10:00am followed up by a Fun Drag Race at the Downtown Plaza from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. This is all going to be finished up with the Summer @ the Plaza series, featuring entertainment from Murky Waters!

Pets @ the Plaza - October 28

The Town of Drumheller and Drumheller and District Humane Society want to celebrate Howl’oween with you and your furry friends!

On October 28, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, dress up and bring your furry friends down to the Downtown Plaza for the chance to participate in a fun scavenger hunt and to have their perfect Halloween paw-trait taken!

Photos will be taken by Through the Looking Glass. The price is a donation.

Travel Drumheller will also have a photo contest to follow, in which participants are encouraged to take a photo of their pet with one of the many dinosaurs we have around Town to be entered into a prize!
