Council Policies 

Council Policies are Council written statements that set standards of performance for the Town as a whole, and guidelines for the manner in which Town initiatives and activities will be carried out. They are outward-facing and relate to interactions between the Town (and entities representing or working on behalf of the Town) with the public and with entities outside the Town. Council Policies are approved by Town Council and maintained by Legislative Services.

Administrative Policies  

Administrative Policies are instructions that Town employees must adhere to when performing their duties on behalf of the Town. They are inward-facing and guide the behaviours of internal staff, contractors and consultants. Administrative Policies are approved by the Chief Administrative Officer and maintained by Legislative Services.
