Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed Bylaw 26.25 - Municipal Development Plan Amending Bylaw
Posted on Jul. 11 2025The Town of Drumheller intends to consider Bylaw #26.25 for the purpose of amending the Town of Drumheller Municipal Development Plan (MDP). The Municipal Development Plan (MDP) serves as a tool for guiding land use decisions, supporting long-term community goals, and coordinating development with municipal infrastructure. The purpose of this MDP amendment is focused on addressing concerns with flood mitigation, parks and trails.
A copy of the proposed Municipal Development Plan Amending Bylaw 26.25 is available for inspection Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Town of Drumheller office located at 224 Centre Street, Drumheller, Alberta or online below;
The Public Hearing for Bylaw #26.25 will be held on August 11, 2025, starting at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers and/or using a virtual platform at the Town of Drumheller office. The public hearing will be held in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and the Council & Committee Meeting Procedure Bylaw #04.21 and is intended for Council to gather feedback from the public prior to 2nd reading of the Bylaw. Any person who claims to be affected by the proposed Bylaw 26.25 is invited to present their comments in-person at the Public Hearing or submit a written submission.
