Throughout the next three weeks, construction will be taking place in and around the Drumheller Aquaplex and Rotary Park areas.  

Starting the week of August 28, construction will commence for the installation of a new make-up air handling unit in the Indoor Pool. This will be in addition to the replacement of interior ductwork and ventilation. Due to this construction, the parking lot in front of the Outdoor Pool, as well as the front entrance to the Aquaplex, will be closed. Access will still be accessible through the side entrance by the Outdoor Pool.   

Additionally, teams and contractors will be installing an underground drainage system from the Rotary Fountain that will tie into the area in front of the Aquaplex. This construction will impact the Rotary Fountain, Splash Park and the outdoor washrooms adjacent to the Aquaplex. This construction is anticipated to begin September 18.  

In preparation for winter and construction, the Rotary Fountain will be closed on September 13 and drained on September 14. The Splash Park and outdoor washrooms will be closed and winterized on September 18.
