Postage Service Disruption as Canada Post Workers Strike

Posted on Nov. 15 2024

Canada Post workers are on strike after failing to reach a negotiated agreement with their employer. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) says approximately 55,000 workers in its urban, rural and suburban mail carrier (RSMC) bargaining units are striking, claiming little progress has been made in the bargaining process.

Residents of Drumheller who frequently receive mail from the Town, including invoices, utility bills, and cheques from Accounts Payable, are encouraged to visit the Town's website or contact the Town Office to explore alternative options. These options include setting up e-bill notifications or creating an online account to view statements easily.

Additionally, residents expecting cheques from the Town should consider establishing pre-authorized electronic fund transfers (EFTs) for direct deposit. For more details, residents can visit www.drumheller.ca/live/taxes-payments/online-services-payments.
