2022 Building Enhancement Grant ProgramPosted on Jan. 4 2022
The Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of the Building Enhancement Grant Program in partnership with the Town of Drumheller and Community Futures Big Country. For 2022, a total of up to $40,000 in funding will be available to help local businesses.
This grant will encourage local businesses to enhance their buildings by modernizing and improving appearance and help business owners reduce the financial burden associated with making improvements to the exterior or interior of their building.
“The Chamber of Commerce is again happy to take the lead as administrator of the Building Enhancement Grant Program. We are grateful for the financial support and partnership we have with the Town of Drumheller and Community Futures Big Country to deliver this program to the business community”, said Heather Bitz, Executive Director. “Since the inception of the grant program, we have seen the value it provides to our community as business owners make improvements to their business premises and the sense of community pride that it has fostered.”
“The Town of Drumheller is excited to partner with Community Futures and the Chamber to provide support to businesses to improve their storefronts and interiors. The changes we have seen over the last few years have reinforced how important this program is to help beautify our community,” stated Darryl Drohomerski, CAO for the Town. “Community Futures Big Country is excited to continue our collaboration with the Drumheller & District Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Drumheller on this important program. Supporting the success of local businesses is a key mandate of our organization”, said Alison Roppel, Manager of Operations and Community Development.
The grant will fund up to 50% of the renovation costs to maximum grant of $5,000 for any one business for either an exterior or interior enhancement.
