Temporary Road Closure

Please be advised of a temporary road closure on Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19 from 9:00am - 4:30pm for the installation of the Downtown Christmas Tree. The affected roadways and back alleys are as follows: The intersection of 3 Avenue East and West at Centre Street; Detour and reroute signage will be in place; Alleys between 1 Street West and 1 Street East remain open. The intersection will be reopened each day once work is completed.

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees is returning just in time for the holidays! This event marks the start of the holiday season and is the perfect opportunity for families, friends, coworkers and everything in between to get into the holiday spirit!

We invite all local community members, organizations and businesses to register for this event and celebrate the holidays with us! 

The Festival of Trees will be held on November 29, 2024, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Badlands Community Facility. Trees will be decorated by folks across the Drumheller Valley and will be left up in the Badlands Facility Foyer to spread the holiday spirit!

Festival of Trees - Tree Registration Form

The Festival of Trees returns just in time for the holidays! We invite community members and organizations to bring artificial Christmas Trees into the Badlands Community Facility. Please fill out and submit the form below to register your tree. 

Important Information

  • There is no cost to participate in this event.
  • All trees are expected to be completely set up by 7:00pm on Friday, November 29, 2024. 

Registration Deadline: Monday, November 20, 2024 before 4:00pm

Set up: Monday, November 21, 2024 - Friday, November 28, 2024

Tear down: Trees must be removed by Monday, January 9, 2024. Any display material left behind after 8:30pm will be discarded.   

Valuables: Any valuables left are at the owner’s expense.  We do not recommend leaving computers, cash, or other valuables unattended. The Town of Drumheller, Badlands Community Facility, is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
