In alignment with the provincial FCSS Act, the committee also:

  • Promotes stronger communities and volunteer involvement.
  • Encourages public participation in planning and governance of services.
  • Ensures effective use of resources.
  • Supports collaboration with other service agencies.

Membership

  • Comprised of all seven (7) members of Town Council.

Stay Updated on the Community Social Needs Assessment

Public participation is being invited through surveys, community workshops and sessions with local social sector agencies. The information shared during these opportunities will be used to develop goals addressing these priorities over the next five years.

The Drumheller Community Social Needs Assessment is ran from November 2022 - April 2023. It will provide a snapshot of the social strengths and issues in the community, from Nacmine to East Coulee.

An update for the Community Social Needs Assessment will be available in June 2025.

No one has more expertise in the reality of social needs in our community than our residents and service providers
