Wellness Workshop for Teens

Location: Badlands Community Facility - 80 Veterans Way, Drumheller AB

We are offering three Wellness Workshops for Teens to help provide youth in the Drumheller and surrounding areas to experience personal well-being and support youth in positive development!

The Town of Drumheller's Community Development and Social Planning (CDSP) department is collaborating with the local Family Resource Network (FRN) on this initiative to help youth manage their stress, learn about emotions and learn various coping strategies to relax, de-stress and find calm before a storm. 

Some activities include:

  • Yoga
  • Breathing exercises
  • How to achieve a wellness balance
  • Acknowledging thoughts in a judgment-free space 

Participants can register for free on Drumheller.ca for a chance to win a Gift Card to Dinosaur Valley Massage & Wellness and Lois + Ani Tea Shop!

We are offering our program at a variety of locations throughout the Drumehller and surrounding area. All events run from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. 

  • October 5, 2022 will be hosted at the Badlands Community Facility in Drumheller
  • October 19, 2022 will be hosted at the East Coulee Community Hall in East Coulee
  • November 2, 2022 will be hosted at the Munson Community Hall

The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) comprises seven members, two of which are members of Council.

The Commission reviews applications for Developments, Subdivisions, land use amendments and any other applications referred by the Development Officer.  The Commission advises and assists Town Council with regard to the planning of orderly and economical development within the municipality and helps ensure that any proposed development is in accordance with the purpose, scope or intent of the Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan.

Proposed Traffic Bylaw Public Information Session and Open House

Location: Badlands Community Facility - 80 Veterans Way, Drumheller AB

The Town of Drumheller's Emergency and Protective Services Department (EPSD) is hosting a Public Information Session and Open house on Thursday, October 13 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Badlands Community Facility. 

At this session, residents can learn about the Proposed Traffic Bylaw 10.22, share feedback regarding the proposed changes, express traffic-related concerns with the EPSD to help influence traffic regulations in their community. 

This open house offers a casual setting, where two-way conversations can be facilitated. The feedback captured will be recorded and considered for the next revision (second reading).

The Town of Drumheller's new Fire Cheif, Derian Rosario, is inviting families, friends and anyone interested in all things fire-safety to attend an Open House & BBQ at the Fire Hall on Saturday, October 15 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

There will be activities for kids, including a colouring contest, prizes, a tour of the fire hall and an opportunity to check out the ultra-cool fire trucks! 

Please come by, meet the new Fire Cheif and enjoy a BBQ at the Fire Hall.

No registration is required. Free parking is available behind the Fire Hall/Town Hall.
